The International Skeletal Society (ISS) invites you to participate in its 46th Annual Refresher Course in Musculoskeletal Radiology. The program provides an in-depth review of MSK radiology covered over the course of three days, with presentations by international experts who are the pioneers in MSK MRI, CT, ultrasound, radiography and image guided intervention.

The program is organized in parallel tracks providing participants with the option of attending lectures focusing on their choice of either sports medicine or other MSK disorders such as neoplasm, infection, arthritis and metabolic disease.

  • Case-Based Interactive Audience Response Sessions (ARS)
  • 3 Self-Assessment Module Offerings (SAMS)
  • Focus Session on Artificial Intelligence
  • Hot Topics in Musculoskeletal Imaging

In addition, please note the inclusion of several optional courses which are available for your review and participation, including the one-day MSK ultrasound course which takes place on Tuesday. Space is limited for small group “hands-on” tutorials in which participants are provided the opportunity to scan models under the supervision of experienced tutors, so you will want to register for that course early if you plan to attend. Additionally, the one-day radiology-pathology correlation course is scheduled for Sunday.

The 2019 ISS Refresher Course will take place in beautiful Vancouver, Canada at the Parq Vancouver. The Parq Vancouver hosts two hotels, the JW Marriott Parq and adjoining Douglas Autograph Collection hotel. Both hotels are new facilities, sharing state-of-the art conference facilities, casino, restaurants, and a unique outdoor rooftop urban park. The venue is located along the False Creek waterfront, centrally located to downtown Vancouver’s Gastown, Yaletown and entertainment districts and provides numerous options for dinning, shopping and entertainment within walking distance of the meeting centre.

To those desiring a more serene experience, Vancouver has been called “Manhattan with Mountains.” Majestic mountains, sparkling ocean, rainforests and beautiful foliage make Vancouver one of the most beautiful cities in the world. You will want to make time to experience the area, as it serves as one of the spectacular highlights of the Canadian western coast!

Regardless of how you choose to spend your time, you will find plenty of exciting things to do and explore in and around Vancouver. Finally, this is the right time to visit Canada, as advantageous exchange rates on the Canadian dollar make this the best time to come join us for the 2019 ISS refresher course meeting.

We hope you will join us in Vancouver.
