AMSIG now welcomes non-radiologist healthcare professionals in musculoskeletal medicine as Associate Members. Join a broader MSK community and access expert education, leading resources, and valuable professional connections across Australia and New Zealand.

The AMSIG Associate Membership has been developed to support clinicians and healthcare professionals working in musculoskeletal (MSK) medicine who are not radiologists, but play a critical role in patient care and outcomes.

This membership provides access to the same high-quality educational content, resources, and professional network that AMSIG is known for, while fostering greater collaboration across the MSK community.

May be eligibile to apply for a Research Grant of up to $10,000 for a research project

Attendance at ASMs is open to all, but members receive early notification of these important annual meetings and have access to MSK colleagues for clinical discussion.

Associate Membership


$385 incl. GST for the first year and then $275 incl. GST every year thereafter.
Your CV and a sponsorship letter from one current member is required when applying.

Eligibility & Application Requirements

Associate Membership is open to healthcare professionals currently working in musculoskeletal (MSK) medicine in Australia or New Zealand.

Eligible applicants include a broad range of clinicians and allied health professionals involved in MSK care, including radiographers, sonographers, physiotherapists, sports and exercise physicians, rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons, general practitioners, pain management specialists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, podiatrists, chiropractors and osteopaths.

To apply for Associate Membership, applicants must:

  • Be currently working in MSK medicine in either Australia or New Zealand
  • Have their application supported by an MSK supervisor/colleague and/or AMSIG member
  • Submit an application online, including an up-to-date CV

All applications will be subject to AMSIG Executive approval.

Membership Terms

  • Membership follows the AMSIG calendar year (January – January)
  • Membership concludes at the end of the calendar year, regardless of join date
  • Annual auto-renewal applies from the January following application
  • Associate Members are not eligible for positions on AMSIG Education or Executive Committees
