Lumus Imaging MSK Fellowship Melbourne

Applications are open for RANZCR accredited radiologists for a 6 to 12-month MRI & Musculoskeletal Fellowship with Lumus Imaging in Melbourne, starting in February 2027.

This position will see you working across two major private hospitals with a team of well-respected radiologists in a supportive, collaborative environment focused on diagnostic and interventional MRI and MSK radiology.

  • Knox Private Hospital – a 335 bed hospital with a 24 hour Emergency Department located in the eastern suburbs.
    Equipped with 3T & 1.5T MRI, 2X CTs and wide variety of MSK reporting and intervention.
  • The Avenue Private Hospital – a 152 bed hospital with an esteemed reputation for excellence in orthopaedics.
    Located in Windsor with a 3T MRI and large MSK workload.
    The fellowship is guided by three of Lumus Imaging’s most experienced and recognised MSK radiologists, with a strong emphasis on mentorship and clinical excellence.
    On offer here is:
  • 3 days per week of fellowship training, focused on MSK imaging
  • 2 days per week of consultant remunerated general radiologist work at Lumus Imaging clinics
  • Flexible, supportive work environment
  • Large and diverse MSK caseloads including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and intervention.
  • Collaborative relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, medical specialists, emergency physicians, and GPs
  • Potential pathway to future clinical radiologist opportunities within Lumus Imaging

    The Fellowship will include exposure to:
  • Diagnostic and interventional MSK activities

  • Encouragement to engage in research and present at events such as the Lumus Imaging Annual Meeting and RANZCR ASM
    This role is ideal for newly qualified radiologists with a passion for MSK imaging who are looking to
    build a solid foundation for a career in private practice radiology.

  • Passed the RANZCR Part II exams • AHPRA registration • Unrestricted Australian working rights
