A 12-month Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship in diagnostic and interventional MSK imaging is available for suitably qualified medical practitioners who have attained RANZCR Fellowship and have a strong interest and prior experience in musculoskeletal imaging.
Imaging @ Olympic Park is a dedicated musculoskeletal and sports imaging practice located within AAMI Park Stadium on Olympic Boulevard, in the heart of Melbourne’s sporting precinct, alongside Rod Laver Arena and the MCG. Dr Tim Dickson and Assoc. Prof. David Connell lead a specialist team of musculoskeletal radiologists together with two full-time MSK radiology fellows.
The Imaging @ Olympic Park team works closely with numerous elite sporting organisations, including Australian Football, Rugby League and Rugby Union teams, professional soccer clubs and Tennis Australia, as well as athletes across a broad range of sports. Our research program is affiliated with Monash and La Trobe Universities, with the team actively involved in research, teaching and presentations at national and international conferences.
The Fellowship provides extensive exposure to both diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal radiology. Fellows participate in a high-volume clinical practice, multidisciplinary and clinical meetings, research and education, with a strong emphasis on developing advanced MSK imaging and procedural skills.
Fellows receive comprehensive training across the full spectrum of MSK interventional procedures, including radiofrequency denervation, spinal injections, PRP and hyaluronic acid injections, joint and soft tissue injections, biopsies, botulinum toxin injections, prolotherapy and other image-guided procedures. The practice is equipped with 3 × 3T MRI scanners, 3 × CT scanners, ultrasound and digital X-ray, supporting a comprehensive diagnostic and interventional MSK service.
Fellowship positions commence in February and August each year. Applicants must have attained RANZCR Fellowship and meet all relevant requirements of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be considered.
