A 12-month Fellowship (Musculoskeletal – Diagnostic and Interventional) is available for suitably qualified medical practitioners with RANZCR fellowship with a keen interest and prior experience in MSK imaging (start dates February and August).
Applicants must have attained RANZCR Fellowship and are required to meet all requirements of the Royal College of Australian and New Zealand Radiologists (RANZCR) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).
Overseas equivalent applicants will only be considered if they meet the above criteria.
Imaging @ Olympic Park is a unique radiology department specialising in Musculoskeletal and Sports Imaging. We are located within AAMI Park Stadium on Olympic Boulevard, in the sports precinct that includes Rod Laver Arena and the MCG. Assoc. Prof David Connell and Dr Tim Dickson lead a team of Musculoskeletal Radiologists and two full-time MSK radiology fellows.
The Imaging @ Olympic Park team collaborates with multiple Australian Football, Rugby League and Union teams, Soccer clubs, Tennis Australia and many other elite sporting organisations.
The research arm is aligned with Monash and La Trobe Universities, and the team regularly presents at National and International Conferences.
Fellows will be involved in a mix of diagnostic and therapeutic MSK radiology with additional clinical meetings, research and education to maintain an innovative approach.
Fellows will be trained in the full gamut of MSK interventional procedures, including radiofrequency denervation, spinal injections, PRP, hyaluronic acid, joint and soft tissue injections, biopsies, botox, prolotherapy, etc.
Equipment includes two 3T MRI scanners, 64 slice CT scanners, Ultrasound and Digital x-ray.
