The Musculoskeletal Imaging section of the Department of Radiology at Auckland City Hospital (Te Toka Tumai Auckland) has a full-time, fixed-term (12-month) fellowship available starting from February every year (although the start date is flexible for the suitable candidate).
The Adult Radiology Department is organised into Interventional, Neuro, Body and Musculoskeletal sections. Te Toka Tumai Auckland is accepting applications for a vacancy in Musculoskeletal imaging. You should have an interest in musculoskeletal imaging in all modalities involved, with the ability to perform a range of biopsies and interventional procedures.
The Radiology Department in Te Toka Tumai Auckland has an inpatient facility in Auckland City Hospital and an outpatient facility at Greenlane Clinical Centre. The department services an active specialist referral base with tertiary, regional and national services. The Musculoskeletal section at Te Toka Tumai Auckland also provides the regional North Island Sarcoma Radiology service including weekly multi-disciplinary meeting, biopsy and treatment of bone and soft tissue sarcomas.
The inpatient facility at Auckland City Hospital has a new 3T, a new 1.5T MRI, 3 CT scanners, 4 Ultrasound machines (including an interventional ultrasound room) and Fluoroscopy. The outpatient facility at Greenlane has 1 3T MRI, 1 CT scanner, 4 Ultrasound machines and fluoroscopy.
The fellowship runs for 12 months. The fellowship position consists of 8 dedicated clinical musculoskeletal sessions, 1 non-clinical session, and 1 clinical body session per week.
Te Toka Tumai Auckland require you to have FRANZCR or a similar Post Graduate Radiology qualification which can lead to recognition for Vocational Registration by the New Zealand Medical Council.
