New Associate Membership for Non-Radiologist MSK Professionals

The Australasian Musculoskeletal Imaging Group (AMSIG) is pleased to announce the introduction of a new Associate Membership category, designed for non-radiologist healthcare professionals working in musculoskeletal (MSK) medicine across Australia and New Zealand.

This new membership pathway reflects the increasingly collaborative nature of MSK care, recognising the important role played by a broad range of clinicians and allied health professionals in the diagnosis, management, and ongoing treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.

Associate Membership provides access to AMSIG’s established suite of educational resources and professional benefits. Members will be able to engage with expert-led presentations and recorded content from local and international MSK specialists, access the digital edition of the Skeletal Radiology Journal, and stay informed through relevant updates and insights from MSK imaging groups worldwide. Associate Members will also be eligible for reduced registration rates at AMSIG’s Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), supporting ongoing professional development and connection with the wider MSK community.

The introduction of this membership category aims to strengthen engagement across disciplines and support a more integrated approach to MSK education and practice. By expanding access to AMSIG’s resources and network, the organisation continues to foster knowledge-sharing and collaboration across the Australasian region.

Associate Membership is open to healthcare professionals currently practising in MSK medicine in Australia or New Zealand, including radiographers, sonographers, physiotherapists, sports and exercise physicians, rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons, general practitioners, pain management specialists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, podiatrists, chiropractors and osteopaths.

All applications are subject to review and approval by the AMSIG Executive and must be supported by an MSK supervisor, colleague, or AMSIG member.
